Pitch an idea

Thoughtful Pathways welcomes original pitches that help readers think clearly about priorities, routines, attention, rest or change. A strong contribution is specific, useful without specialist authority and respectful of the variety of ways people live.

What makes a good pitch

Send a short outline of the central question, the main idea you would develop and why it may matter to a busy general reader. A focused comparison, an explanation of a common habit or a fresh way to approach a familiar transition can all work. Show what the reader will understand or consider, rather than promising a transformation.

The shape of a contribution

We look for original work in a clear, natural voice, with a distinct angle and examples that serve the point. Avoid unsupported claims, sweeping advice and material that depends on professional judgement. Please say whether the idea has been published or sent elsewhere and note any relevant interests or potential conflicts.

How to send a proposal

Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option to send your pitch. Include a working title and a brief outline in the message. Please send a proposal rather than a complete draft unless one has been requested.

A point of view

A day is shaped by what gets room.

We look for small choices that make time and attention feel less scattered, without pretending one routine suits everyone.
